Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed the negative impact of Alexis Sanchez’s loan move to Italian Serie A giants Inter Milan.

According to the former Manchester United striker, the Chilean international attacker’s transfer to Inter Milan has left his team short of one attack-minded player.

He was speaking ahead of the Southampton game which ended in a 1-1 draw.

Manchester United were forced to a score draw by their hosts who finished the game with ten men.

The Red Devils took the lead as early as the 10th minute through Daniel James who has now scored three goals in four games for his team.

Solskjaer and his players led until the first quarter of the second half when Jannik Vestergaard scored the equaliser for the home team.

Manchester United were handed the lifeline to get the three points at stake when Kevin Danso was given his marching orders after a second yellow card for him in the 72nd minute.

Southampton held on to the point despite the numerical disadvantage.

Manchester United have now recorded a winless run spanning three games.

They are without Alexis Sanchez for the rest of this season after he joined Inter Milan on loan for 10 months.
