Southampton midfielder James Ward-Prowse has revealed what manager Ralph Hassenhuttl said during halftime of the Premier League game with Manchester United.

The Saints played out a 1-1 draw with Manchester United in their league clash earlier on Saturday.

Southampton had to come from a goal down to earn a very good point against Manchester United.

After the game, James Ward-Prowse spoke to BT Sports as he revealed what Ralph Hassenhuttl told his players during the halftime interval with Southampton trailing 1-0 to the visitors.

Ward-Prowse said that Ralph Hassenhuttl told the Southampton players to be patient in the second half and also continue to adhere to his tactics.

That patience paid off in the second half as Southampton equalized to secure an unlikely point.

Manchester United had earlier taken the lead through a wonderful 10th minute goal from Daniel James who took his tally to three goals in four Premier League games.

Daniel James benefitted off an assist from Scott McTominay.

Southampton equalized in the second half through Jannik Vestergaard off an assist from Kevin Danso.

The Saints had to play the final 18 minutes of the game with ten men after the aforementioned Danso was sent off for collecting two yellow cards.
