Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has revealed why Alexis Sanchez flopped badly at city rivals Manchester United.
Alexis Sanchez has been in the spotlight this week after he left Manchester United for Italian Serie A giants Inter Milan.
Pep Guardiola came close to signing Alexis Sanchez before the Chilean international attacker joined rivals Manchester United in January 2018.
Alexis Sanchez picked Manchester United ahead of Pep Guardiola and Manchester City mainly because the Red Devils offered him more money.
Guardiola was asked about Alexis Sanchez during his pre-match presser ahead of the Premier League game between his Manchester City side and Brighton and Hove Albion.

During his press conference on Friday, Pep Guardiola said that the Manchester United loanee failed at the club for many reasons and that it was not his fault.
According to him, Alexis Sanchez does not play alone as he added that the Chilean plays in a system as provided by the manager.
He went on to say that Alexis Sanchez plays alongside ten other players on the pitch.
Pep Guardiola absolved Alexis Sanchez of any blame for his poor form for Manchester United.
