Deal Close: Man City Plotting Summer Move For £90m-rated Man Utd Target
Premier League champions Manchester City are plotting a summer move for highly-rated Leicester City defender Harry Maguire who’s also a transfer target for city rivals Manchester United.
According to the publication from The Sun, Manchester City want to sign Harry Maguire in the summer but they will have to pay at least £90m to secure his signing from Leicester City.
Harry Maguire has enjoyed a meteoric rise in English football over a short period of time.
He has emerged as a key performer for both club and country in the last year.
Maguire has become one of the first names on the team-sheet since he joined the Foxes from English Championship club Hull City at the start of last season.
He was part of the England squad that finished in fourth spot at last summer’s FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia.
Harry Maguire impressed a great deal for England during the tournament and he was linked with a big money move to Manchester United.
As a matter of fact, Leicester City rejected multiple bids from Manchester United for the defender who could now join city rivals Manchester City thus becoming the most expensive defender on the world football stage ahead of Liverpool centre back Virgil Van Dijk.
