Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would be given the funds from the transfer of new Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku ahead of the winter transfer market in January.

This is according to the publication from the stables of the UK Sun which claimed that the Manchester United boss will spend most of the funds from the Lukaku transfer.

Manchester United will be paid £73m for the Belgian international star including the add-ons of £9.2m.

Solskjaer will have the aforementioned transfer funds at his disposal in the event that he wants to bolster his squad during the next transfer window at the start of next year.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Manchester United spent almost £150m on transfers this summer.

Manchester United made their first summer signing with the transfer of Welsh international player Daniel James from English Championship club Swansea City for a fee believed to be around £18m.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka was the second signing of the summer at Manchester United after he joined from fellow Premier League outfit Crystal Palace for a fee of £50m.
