Former Liverpool player Graeme Souness has picked out midfielder Fabinho for criticism following his performance in the UEFA Super Cup clash with Chelsea.
In a chat with Virtual Sports Media Ireland, Liverpool legend Souness called out Fabinho for letting Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante dominate the game.
Fabinho and Liverpool were below their usual best but they were still able to beat Chelsea to win the UEFA Super Cup title.
The Reds have now won two successive trophies after failing to win anyone in seven years.
Liverpool last won a trophy during the 2012 League Cup final before this summer’s Champions League final.
The Reds beat North London giants Tottenham Hotspur to win the Champions League final.

The Reds sealed the Super Cup title after beating Chelsea on penalties.
Liverpool scored all their five penalties during the shootout while Chelsea scored four of their five penalties.
The Reds won the penalty shootout 5-4 with Chelsea substitute Tammy Abraham missing his spot kick.
Chelsea and Liverpool shared a four-goal thriller at the end of 120 minutes thus paving the way for penalties.
Sadio Mane got the two goals for Liverpool, while Olivier Giroud and Jorginho (penalty) scored for Chelsea.
