Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes was seriously linked with a move to Premier League giants Manchester United before the Premier League transfer market ended last week.

Despite being linked with a move to Old Trafford for long periods of the transfer window, Bruno Fernandes didn’t get his dream move.

According to the latest from popular media channel ESPN, Manchester United didn’t push too much for his transfer due to doubts over his quality as well as the ability for him to lose possession consistently.

Bruno Fernandes won’t get a move to Manchester United or any other Premier League club this summer after the transfer market ended last week though it must be pointed out that he can move to the other leagues.

The European transfer market is still open until September 2 meaning that Bruno Fernandes can still get a move away from Sporting Lisbon this summer.

Bruno Fernandes is the main man for Portuguese Super League giants Sporting Lisbon after his exploits from last season.

The 24-year-old broke the goalscoring record for a midfielder in the last campaign following his output of 32 goals in all competitions.

Bruno Fernandes also provided 18 assists for Sporting Lisbon last season over the course of 53 games.
