Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was full of praise for his new signings, Harry Maguire and Aaron Wan-Bissaka, after the two players were in sensational form during the Premier League opener against Chelsea.

Solskjaer and his Manchester United troops got their season off to a flyer after the 4-0 demolition of top-four rivals Chelsea at Old Trafford.

In his post-match press conference after the game, Solskjaer lauded Harry Maguire and Aaron Wan-Bissaka on how they have quickly adapted to their surroundings.

Maguire and Wan-Bissaka played the entire duration of the game.

Manchester United signed Harry Maguire from fellow Premier League club Leicester City in a deal that could rise to £85m, while Wan-Bissaka also signed from a Premier League team, Crystal Palace in a deal that could be as high as £50m.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer also spoke about his team’s overall performance after the Chelsea game.

According to him, his team was lucky to get to the halftime interval with a 1-0 lead after Chelsea squandered several opportunities to score in the first half as well as hitting the post on two occasions.

Tammy Abraham hit the post in the opening exchanges before hosts Manchester United took the lead from the spot on 18 minutes after goalscorer Marcus Rashford had been felled in the box.

Chelsea defender Emerson Palmieri also hit the post in the first half.

Manchester United went on to score three second half goals through Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford and substitute Daniel James to seal the impressive win.
