Manchester United winger Daniel James couldn’t have wished for a better start to his career at Old Trafford after he made a scoring debut for his new team.

Daniel James was amongst the goals as Manchester United thrashed Chelsea 4-0 to lay down a marker at the start of the new season.

The 21-year-old came off the bench to round up the scoring for the Red Devils.

He scored the fourth and final goal for Manchester United shortly after coming off the bench.

Daniel James came on as a 74th minute substitute for Andreas Pereira before finding the back of the net seven minutes later.

The Welsh international star benefitted from an assist from Paul Pogba to open his account for his new club as Manchester United thrashed Chelsea in front of their fans.

Marcus Rashford gave Manchester United the lead in the 18th minute from the penalty spot after Anthony Martial was felled in the box.

Manchester United went on to score two goals within three space of two second half minutes to take the game away from Chelsea who wasted a lot of opportunities to find the back of the net in the first half of the Premier League clash.

Martial scored the second goal before Rashford added his brace and a third for Manchester United thereby paving the way for Daniel James to wrap up the thumping win.
