Italian Serie A champions Juventus are reportedly closing in on a big money move for Ajax Amsterdam defender Matthijs De Ligt according to the publication from popular media outlet Goal.
Liverpool target De Ligt has been turning heads in European football on the back of his impressive performances for Ajax Amsterdam and the Netherlands.
According to sources close to Goal, Italian giants Juventus have won the race to sign Matthijs De Ligt ahead of other interested clubs and that a deal could be announced in the coming days.
It was revealed that the player will join Juventus in a €70m deal.

Apart from the Italian champions, Matthijs De Ligt has been linked with other European clubs like Manchester United, Manchester City, Paris Saint Germain (PSG) and Barcelona.
Spanish La Liga club Barcelona were thought to be the favourites for the young defender.
Matthijs De Ligt holds the record for the youngest skipper in the illustrious history of Ajax Amsterdam after he assumed the role at the age of 18.
He led the Dutch Eredivisie giants to two major trophies namely the Dutch Cup title and the Dutch Eredivisie title.
De Ligt also led Ajax Amsterdam to the semifinal of the Champions League before they were beaten by Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur.
