Liverpool defender Virgil Van Dijk has called on Ballon d’Or voters to make the right choice.
The Dutch international skipper made this known in his latest interview as monitored by the Thewistle.
According to him, all he can do is to concentrate on playing well.
Virgil Van Dijk is said to be in the conversation for who to succeed Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric as the Ballon d’Or winner.
Croatian international Modric won the 2018 edition.
Van Dijk has had a very good last one year which saw him help Liverpool to win the Champions League title for the first time in 14 years.

Liverpool also ended their seven-year trophy drought as a result of that Champions League title win achieved by the 2-0 victory over Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur in their final clash at the new Wanda Metropolitano Stadium in Madrid, Spain.
Mohamed Salah and Divock Origi were the goalscorers for Liverpool on that night.
Virgil Van Dijk also won the PFA Player of the Year Award after a very good season which saw his Liverpool side missing out on the league title by one point to Manchester City.
He also led the Netherlands to the UEFA Nations League final before they were beaten 1-0 by hosts Portugal.
