According to Lampard, the amount of criticism faced by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been unfair after the poor end to last season.

He won 14 of his first 17 games in all competitions and that earned him the job on a permanent basis.

Things turned sour for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Manchester United after his confirmation as the Manchester United manager on a permanent basis.

The poor end to the season ensured that the Red Devils didn’t qualify for Champions League football on the back of a sixth-placed finish.

Solskjaer and Manchester United can’t afford to start the season like the way they finished the last campaign when too four rivals Chelsea visit Old Trafford for the first Premier League game of the season for both teams.
