Former Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has rejected a lucrative offer to take up the managerial job at Chinese Super League club Guangzhou Evergrande.
According to the Guardian, Mourinho turned down the Guangzhou Evergrande job for family reasons.
The Portuguese tactician has not been without a managerial job since he was sacked by Manchester United in December 2018.
Jose Mourinho lost his job at Manchester United after he masterminded the Red Devils’ worst start to the Premier League season in the last campaign.

The former Chelsea and Real Madrid boss also fell out with some of the Manchester United players before his sack after the 3-1 loss to Liverpool at Anfield last season.
Jose Mourinho has been linked with a lot of jobs since leaving Manchester United seven months ago.
He was paid £15m per annum as the Manchester United manager and the offer from Chinese club Guangzhou Evergrande was more than his salary at Old Trafford.
Mourinho became the Manchester United manager in 2016 and he went on to lead the club to the 2016/17 Europa League title and the 2016/17 Carabao Cup title during his time at the Theatre of Dreams.
He was replaced by Manchester United legend Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
