Christian Eriksen

Premier League giants Manchester United have opened talks to sign Christian Eriksen from fellow English top flight club Tottenham Hotspur.

This is according to the publication from the stables of The Independent.

Christian Eriksen has one year left on his current deal at Spurs and the Danish international playmaker is not keen to sign a new contract at the club.

Tottenham Hotspur are holding out for at least £50m for Christian Eriksen.

The North Londoners want to raise funds to sign transfers targets like Paulo Dybala and Bruno Fernandes.

Paolo Dybala plays his club football for Italian Serie A club Juventus, while Bruno Fernandes plays his club football for Portuguese Super League outfit Sporting Lisbon.

Eriksen prefers a move to Real Madrid but the Spanish giants have cooled their interest in him in recent weeks thus leaving Manchester United as the only club interested in him.

The Danish midfielder could be the direct replacement for Ander Herrera at Manchester United after the Spanish midfielder left the club at the end of his contract.

Ander Herrera has joined French giants Paris Saint Germain (PSG) on a free transfer ahead of the new season.

The Spanish midfielder has signed a five-year deal at PSG.
