Coutinho Would Be A Very Exciting Signing For Arsenal – Keown

Arsenal legend Martin Keown is certain that Barcelona midfielder Philippe Coutinho will be an exciting signing for his former club if they can manage to pull it off.

In a chat with Mirror Sport, the former Arsenal defender praised the qualities possessed by Coutinho before adding that the Gunners might not be able to sign him.

Philippe Coutinho is no stranger to the Premier League having represented Liverpool until January 2018 when he forced his exit to Spanish giants Barcelona in a deal reported to be around £142m.

The Brazilian international has not been able to live up to his transfer fee which made him the third most costly player ever.

Coutinho has been linked with a move away from Barcelona this summer, especially the Premier League clubs.

Former club Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea have all been mentioned in the past weeks until now when Arsenal entered the equation.

The Gunners have been linked with a loan move for the player with reports claiming that a deal for Philippe Coutinho would require Arsenal to pay a loan fee of €30m (£27.4m).
