Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has revealed that Premier League champions Manchester City are the favourites ahead of the new season.
The new Premier League season starts next week.
Liverpool will kick the 2019/20 Premier League campaign off with a home game against newly promoted club Norwich City.
The Canaries won the English Championship title last season to secure promotion to the top flight.
Norwich City will be joined by Sheffield United and Aston Villa in the Premier League for the new season.
The first two clubs gained promotion automatically while former European champions Aston Villa sealed a spot in the English top flight via the playoffs.
Klopp talked about the Premier League race in a chat with reporters shortly after the club friendly clash with Italian Serie A giants Napoli.
The reigning European champions were beaten 3-0 by Napoli on Sunday.
After the game, the Liverpool boss was quizzed by reporters with the new Premier League season just 11 days to kickoff.
According to him, Manchester City are the team to beat ahead of the new season and that the other big teams will start the new campaign as challengers.
Klopp and Liverpool ran Manchester City close in the Premier League last season and he would be hoping to achieve more.
Liverpool are yet to win the Premier League title.
