Spanish La Liga champions Barcelona are reportedly plotting a move for Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho as a possible replacement for the outgoing Malcom.

Brazilian attacker Malcom is expected to leave Barcelona this summer after just one season in Spain.

The former Bordeaux player has not been able to establish himself in the Barcelona team since his transfer last summer and he’s said to be closing in on a move to German Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund.

According to Fox Sports, Malcom is expected to join Dortmund for €42m in the coming days and this represents a €1m profit for Barcelona.

The Spanish La Liga giants had signed him from French Ligue 1 club Bordeaux for €41m during last summer’s transfer window.

Italian capital club AS Roma thought they had signed Malcom last summer after agreeing on a fee with Bordeaux for him only for Barcelona to hijack the deal but it has not turned out well for both parties (player and club) as he could leave the club after just one season.

Manchester United were linked with Jadon Sancho at the start of this transfer window but Borussia Dortmund were adamant that the €100m winger will stay at the club beyond this summer and it remains to be seen whether the interest from Barcelona will change that stand.
