Young Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi will sign a new contract at the club in the coming days according to the latest news emanating from the British media.
According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea will finally put the Callum Hudson-Odoi contract saga behind them when he signs a new deal.
For now, he has one year left on his current deal at Stamford Bridge.
Hudson-Odoi will sign a new five-year deal worth £100,000 on a weekly basis.
His new contract will expire at the end of the 2023/24 season.
Callum Hudson-Odoi was previously linked with a lot of the major clubs in European football from German champions Bayern Munich to Borussia Dortmund to Liverpool.
The 18-year-old was the subject of several bids from Bayern Munich during the winter transfer window.
Chelsea turned down multiple bids from Bayern Munich, while the player also had transfer request turned down by the club.
Callum Hudson-Odoi broke into the Chelsea team during preseason but he didn’t get much playing time under Maurizio Sarri during that first half of the last season.
His fortunes changed in the second half of the season only for his momentum to be checked as a result of a serious Achilles injury sustained in April.
