Three-time European champions Manchester United are lining up summer bids for three of the best defenders on the Italian Serie A scene according to media reports in the English media.
According to the report from popular English radio Talksport, the Red Devils are lining up bids for the Serie A trio of Kalidou Koulibaly, Milan Skriniar and Joachim Andersen.
It’s public knowledge that Manchester United are desperate to bolster their defence with defenders in the summer with a transfer warchest of £200m available to spend by the Red Devils manager.
Ex-club striker Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is the interim manager at Old Trafford and he’s in the running for the job on a permanent basis after making a fantastic start to his managerial career at the club.
The Norwegian has won nine and drawn one of the ten games he has managed at Manchester United since his appointment in December.
Napoli defender Koulibaly is said to be the top defensive target for the Red Devils and reports claim that they had bids turned down by Napoli for the 27-year-old before the end of last year.
Inter Milan star Skriniar has also been linked with Manchester United alongside his direct replacement at Sampdoria when the 23-year-old left for the Nerazzurri last season.
Sampdoria defender Andersen is also attracting interest from Old Trafford ahead of the summer.
