Newcastle United have broken their transfer record following the signing of Brazilian striker Joelinton from German Bundesliga club TSG Hoffenheim.
His transfer was confirmed earlier on Tuesday.
Newcastle United have paid £35m to secure his signing from TSG Hoffenheim and he has put pen to paper on a six-year deal until the end of the 2024/25 season.
His transfer breaks the transfer record for Newcastle United just few months after the previous record was broken during the winter transfer window in January.
Paraguayan international Miguel Almiron had moved to Newcastle United from Major League Soccer (MLS) club Atlanta United in January for £20.5m.

Joelinton will replace Arsenal target Ayoze Perez at Newcastle United after the Spanish attacker left the club for Leicester City in a £30m deal.
Ayoze Perez was their topscorer during last season’s Premier League.
Apart from Ayoze Perez, the Magpies also lost the services of both Salomon Rondon and Joselu.
Rondon was on loan at Newcastle United from West Brom for the entire duration of last season and the Venezuelan international attacker has joined Chinese Super League (CSL) outfit Dalian Yifang upon his return to the Hawthorns.
On his part, Spanish striker Joselu has signed for La Liga club Alaves.
