Arsenal loanee Reiss Nelson has reiterated his desire to become a Gunners legend while hinting about a January return to the club.
Young English forward Reiss Nelson is presently on a season-long loan deal at German Bundesliga side TSG Hoffenheim from Arsenal.
His impressive showings for the Champions League campaigners have led to talks of a permanent move to Hoffenheim.
Nelson, 18, has debunked those rumours in his latest interview as he said he’s eyeing legendary status with the Gunners.
He was recently named Bundesliga rookie of the month for October after he scored six goals in his last seven appearances in the competition.
Bundesliga rookie of the month is the same thing as the young player of the month.
Reiss Nelson’s sensational form for Hoffenheim has led to calls for him to cut short his loan spell when the the transfer window reopens in January.
Arsenal fans want him to replace the injured Danny Welbeck in January.
England international star Welbeck is almost certain to miss the remainder of the season after he broke his ankle in the Gunners’ last Europa League game against Sporting Lisbon at the Emirates Stadium.
He has already undergone two successful operations on the ankle.
