French Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint Germain (PSG) have informed Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid that they want to sign Gareth Bale before the end of this summer’s transfer window.
This is according to the publication from the stables of the Independent which revealed that PSG are ready to receive Real Madrid outcast Bale plus cash for star player Neymar.
Brazilian international Neymar is the most expensive player in world football at the moment after PSG activated the €222m (£200m) release clause in his then Barcelona contract two years ago.
Neymar has told PSG officials that he wants to leave the club this summer after growing frustrated with life in Paris.
The 27-year-old is keen to return to Barcelona ahead of the new season billed for next month.
The Brazilian international scored 51 goals in 58 appearances for PSG during an injury-hit time at the Parc des Princes.
PSG officials want to sign Gareth Bale in exchange for long-term Chelsea target Neymar.
Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has already made his position known on Welsh international star Bale.
While speaking in his post-match press conference shortly after the 2019 International Champions Cup (ICC) clash between his team and German Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich, Zidane confirmed that Bale is not in his plans.
