Steve Bruce Rules Out Man Utd Transfer For Sean Longstaff

New Newcastle United manager Steve Bruce has revealed that he wants to keep wantaway midfielder Sean Longstaff at the club beyond this summer’s transfer window.

In a chat with journalists at the Premier League Asia trophy tourney, Steve Bruce said that his target is to keep Longstaff at the club despite the intense transfer rumours linking him with a move to Manchester United.

Steve Bruce is the new Newcastle United manager following his appointment earlier this summer.

The former Manchester United defender replaces Rafael Benitez at Newcastle United ahead of the new season after the Spanish tactician left the club at the end of June.

Rafael Benitez left Newcastle United at the end of his contract last month after three years with the Magpies.

One of the early challenges for Steve Bruce at Newcastle United was keeping Sean Longstaff at the club despite the serious interest from fellow Premier League club Manchester United.

The Red Devils want to sign a new midfielder this summer and young Magpies midfielder Longstaff is at the top of the list of transfer targets.

Newcastle United have slapped a £50m asking price on Longstaff to ward off the interest from former Premier League champions Manchester United.
