Three-time European champions Manchester United have reportedly been handed a transfer blow in their quest to sign highly rated Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic this summer.
This is according to the latest development emanating from the Italian media.
Manchester United want to sign a new midfielder this summer and the 23-year-old Serbian international is one of the players on their transfer list.
Earlier reports had revealed that his agent was in London for talks with Manchester United.
Former Chelsea striker Mateja Kezman is the agent of the Lazio midfielder.
According to the specific publication from the stables of popular Italian news portal La Gazzetta dello Sport, Manchester United made a €75m bid for Milinkovic-Savic and it was rejected by his Italian Serie A club.
It was revealed that Lazio are holding out for €120m for their player.
Manchester United are long-term admirers of Sergej Milinkovic-Savic dating back to last year when he was one of the hottest prospects on the European football scene.
Apart from Manchester United, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic was also linked with a move to clubs like Real Madrid, AC Milan and Inter Milan but a bad World Cup campaign last summer affected his chances of a big money move in 2018.
