Reigning European champions Liverpool have concluded plans to hand midfielder James Milner a new contract in the coming days.

According to the Liverpool Echo, the Reds want to reward James Milner with a new deal.

James Milner is the oldest player in the current Liverpool squad at the age of 33 and the most experienced after 516 Premier League appearances.

The England international midfielder has one year left on his current deal at Anfield and Liverpool want to offer him an extension.

James Milner made 45 appearances for Liverpool in the last campaign.
