Man Utd Must Pay £65m For Top Transfer Target

Fallen Premier League giants Manchester United have been told that they must pay a lot of money to sign one of their top transfer targets during this summer’s transfer window.

Leicester City defender Harry Maguire has emerged as a major transfer target for both Manchester United and Manchester City.

According to Sky Sports, the Manchester clubs will have to pay £65m to sign Harry Maguire this summer.

Manchester United want to sign a quality player this summer after the poor defensive showing from last season which saw the Red Devils concede over 50 league goals in just 38 games.

For Manchester City, the Premier League champions are in the market for a new defender following the exit of club skipper Vincent Kompany.

The Manchester City legend has left the club this summer after leading the Citizens to an unprecedented domestic treble.

Kompany and Manchester City retained both the Carabao Cup title and the Premier League title before adding the FA Cup title via the 6-0 thrashing of fellow Premier League club Watford in their final clash.

His contract with Manchester City ended this summer and he has since been unveiled as the player/manager at his former club Anderlecht FC of Belgium.

Vincent Kompany was unveiled at Anderlecht on Tuesday.
