Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi will get his chance to impress new manager Frank Lampard after the Belgian international traveled with the squad on their preseason tour of Ireland.
He has spent several loan spells away from Chelsea since his multi-million pounds move from French giants Marseille in 2016.
Michy Batshuayi scored the clinching goal for Chelsea when they won their last league title during the 2016/17 season.
He spent last season on loan at two different clubs on the back of his loan spell at German Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund during the second half of the 2017/18 campaign.

Batshuayi scored six goals in 13 appearances for Crystal Palace in all competitions during the second half of last season.

Before his successful Crystal Palace loan spell, Batshuayi spent last season on loan at Spanish La Liga club Valencia before the Spaniards terminated his loan spell in January.
Gonzalo Higuain has gone back to Juventus after his loan spell at Chelsea thus leaving Olivier Giroud, Tammy Abraham and the aforementioned Batshuayi as the recognized strikers at the club this summer.
Lampard Names Provisional Squad For Norwich City Clash
Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has named his provisional squad for the crucial league game at the home of newly promoted team Norwich City.
Lampard and his Chelsea players have not won a game this season and they have the chance to right that wrong when they visit Carrow Road for Saturday lunchtime kickoff.
French midfielder N’Golo Kante is nursing an ankle injury at the moment and he’s rated as doubtful for the game.
Kante makes the provisional squad alongside Pedro Rodriguez who missed training at the start of the week.
According to Frank Lampard, Pedro Rodriguez missed training as he was rested.
Since his appointment as the new Chelsea manager this summer, fans’ favourite Lampard has not won a competitive game.

Lampard Praises One Player Ahead Of Norwich City Clash
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard was full of praise for young striker Tammy Abraham during his pre-match press conference on Friday ahead of the must-win league game with Norwich City.
Lampard takes his Chelsea team to face the newly promoted club at Carrow Road in what’s the first of Saturday’s Premier League matches.
Frank Lampard praised Tammy Abraham for his attitude before pointing out how he has been unlucky in front of goal at the start of the season.
Tammy Abraham fights for the lone striker role at Chelsea with more experienced players like French World Cup winner Olivier Giroud and Belgian international Michy Batshuayi.
The Nigerian-born England international striker spent last season on loan at Aston Villa whom he helped to gain promotion into the top flight of English football.
Tammy Abraham scored 26 goals as Aston Villa sealed a return to the Premier League via the playoffs.
He came close to scoring for Chelsea in the first league game at Manchester United after he hit the post.
Things would have been different if his strike had gone in as his Chelsea side were thrashed 4-0 by Manchester United.
Tammy Abraham won a penalty for Chelsea in added time of the UEFA Super Cup game with Liverpool.
Jorginho scored that penalty to make the scoreline 2-2 and take the game into penalties.
Tammy Abraham was the only player to miss his spot kick as Liverpool triumphed 5-4 on penalties.
He was also involved in the Blues’ third game of the season, a 1-1 draw at home to Leicester City in the Premier League.
EPL – Lampard Rules Out Two Players Ahead Of Norwich City Game
Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has ruled out two of his players from the Norwich City game.
Lampard and his Chelsea players travel to the newly promoted team in what’s the second game of week three Premier League matches.
Ahead of the game, Lampard told the club’s official website that both Antonio Rudiger and Callum Hudson-Odoi won’t feature against Norwich City.
Antonio Rudiger is not match-fit as he recovers from the serious knee injury sustained at the end of last season.
The German international centre back got injured during the Premier League game at Chelsea towards the end of the last campaign.
For Callum Hudson-Odoi, the young Chelsea winger is back in training having fully recovered from the serious Achilles injury that ended his season in the last campaign.
Frank Lampard and Chelsea are not willing to throw him into the fray yet.
According to the new Chelsea boss, the England international will be in the Chelsea squad after the upcoming international break.
Antonio Rudiger and Callum Hudson-Odoi will go a long way to improve the squad especially after the average start to the season.
Chelsea are yet to taste victory after three games in the new season and the Norwich City game represents the perfect opportunity to get a first win under the new managerial era of Frank Lampard.
EPL – Lampard To Give Midfielder New Role Upon Injury Return
New Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has concluded plans to give injured midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek a new role when he makes his return from injury according to the UK Sun.

The 23-year-old is not expected to return to full fitness until November as a result of the Achilles injury.
When he returns, Frank Lampard wants to push him further forward in midfield to complement his qualities more.

Rashford vs Pogba: Chelsea Legend Picks Penalty Taker
Chelsea legend Craig Burley has picked his penalty taker between two Manchester United players.
The ex-Chelsea player talked about Manchester United and their penalty takers while he was doing his punditry work on popular media channel ESPN.
Manchester United and their penalty takers Marcus Rashford and Paul Pogba are in the spotlight after the stop kick miss from Monday night.
Pogba missed a second half penalty for Manchester United in their last league game at Wolves and it proved to be a crucial one for his team at the end of the game.
Many fans and pundits believe that Marcus Rashford should have taken the penalty rather than Paul Pogba having been successful on Matchday 1 during the 4-0 home win over Chelsea.
On the issue of the penalty taker for Manchester United, Craig Burley said Marcus Rashford should be the designated penalty taker for the Red Devils ahead of Paul Pogba.
Manchester United were given a spot kick in the second half of the Wolves game after Pogba was brought down by Conor Coady, the Wolves skipper.
His penalty was saved by Wolves goalkeeper Rui Patricio as the two teams played out a 1-1 draw to end the perfect record for Manchester United at the start of the new league season.
