Former Liverpool striker Dean Saunders has revealed what Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha told Arsenal before the Gunners lodged their first bid for him.
The North Londoners made a £40m bid for Ivorian international star Zaha on Monday as their quest to sign a winger this summer but the offer was termed derisory by Crystal Palace officials.
According to ex-Liverpool player Dean Saunders, Zaha must have told Arsenal officials that they are the only club he wants to join this summer thus prompting the £40m bid from the Gunners.
The Crystal Palace winger has previously talked about how he supported Arsenal as a boy and that a move to the Emirates Stadium would be a dream transfer for him.

Liverpool legend Dean Saunders went on to query Arsenal for the £40m bid before adding that the Gunners would need to go higher if they want to sign their top transfer target.
Wilfried Zaha scored 10 goals and also provided five assists for Crystal Palace during the just concluded season.
The 26-year-old has spent five years in his second spell as a Crystal Palace player after he returned to Selhurst Park on loan from Manchester United before the move was permanent in a £6m deal in 2015.
