Newcastle United have infuriated their fans after they agreed a deal to sell their topscorer ahead of their Premier League opener with Arsenal next month.

The Magpies are in serious trouble with their opening game of the season fast approaching.

Newcastle United will host Arsenal at St. James Park on Sunday, August 11 and ahead of the game, the Magpies are without their manager and leading goalscorer from the last two seasons.

Spanish manager Rafael Benitez has left Newcastle United after the club failed to back him on the signing of new players amongst other necessary conditions for him to stay and sign a new deal.

He left the club last month after the expiration of his Newcastle United contract and the former Real Madrid and Chelsea manager has already been unveiled as the new manager of Chinese Super League outfit Dalian Yifang.

Rafael Benitez will earn £12m on a yearly basis in his new job.

On Tuesday night, it was also revealed that Newcastle United have decided to sell topscorer Ayoze Perez to Leicester City.

The Spanish forward emerged as the leading goalscorer for the Magpies last season after he scored 12 goals and also added two assists in 37 league games.

Newcastle United and Leicester City have agreed a £30m deal for him as reported by Sky Sports.
