North London giants Arsenal have snapped up Brazilian attacker Gabriel Martinelli in a deal reported to be around £6m.
His transfer was confirmed by the various social media accounts of Arsenal earlier on Tuesday afternoon.
The 18-year-old joined the Gunners from Brazilian side Ituano FC.
He has signed a long-term contract at the club.
Gabriel Martinelli is the first summer signing for Arsenal ahead of the new season though he’s not expected to go straight into the first team.

The Brazilian player is expected to team up with the Arsenal u23s at first.
Martinelli is highly regarded in his native Brazil and was recently part of the Brazilian squad ahead of the 2019 COPA America tournament.
Brazilian national team manager Tite invited the raw Gabriel Martinelli to train with the Selecao ahead of the tournament.
With Gabriel Martinelli in the bag, Arsenal will now turn attention to their other targets including Wilfried Zaha.
