French champions Paris Saint Germain (PSG) want to keep star player Neymar at the club beyond this summer’s transfer window.

This is according to the publication from the stables of the Daily Telegraph which claimed that PSG want to hang on to his services amidst the fact that he has already talked about leaving the club this summer.

As a matter of fact, long-term Manchester United target Neymar has given the club an ultimatum to sell him to Barcelona by July 8 or he’ll work out on the club.

PSG value Neymar at around £224m which is a significant increase on his previous transfer.

Neymar left Barcelona to join PSG in 2017 after the French capital club activated the release clause in his then contract with Barcelona.

He had a £200m (€222m) release clause at Barcelona.

Neymar scored 105 goals in 186 appearances for the Spanish champions during his time at the Nou Camp.

He won two Spanish La Liga titles in addition to the 2015 Champions League title but the 27-year-old is not satisfied as he has unfinished business at the Nou Camp.

Neymar has already told PSG officials that he wants to return to Spain after two years in Paris.

Reports claimed that he has agreed a five-year deal with Barcelona worth €120m over that period.

He has scored 51 goals in 58 appearances for PSG since his transfer from Barcelona two years ago.
