Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira has finally addressed the transfer rumours linking him with a move away from the Gunners this summer.

Those transfer rumours skyrocketed after he gave an interview where he admitted to struggling with culture in the United Kingdom.

According to him, he has not been able to adapt to life in England since his move to Arsenal last summer and that prompted rumours of a reunion with his former coach at Sampdoria.

Lucas Torreira worked with Marco Giampaolo at Sampdoria and the Italian tactician left the club to join AC Milan this summer.

He enjoyed a very good working relationship with Torreira while the Uruguayan international player was a Sampdoria player.

Lucas Torreira joined Arsenal last summer in a deal said to be around £25m.

He has been seriously linked with AC Milan who are willing to do a swap deal involving Ivorian international star Franck Kessie who has been at the San Siro since 2017.

In his recent interview to address the transfer rumours via the Daily Mirror, Lucas Torreira revealed that his focus is on staying at Arsenal.

The Gunners don’t have the intention of selling the player who’s seen as a big part of the current Arsenal squad.
