Barcelona goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen has completed his move to fellow Spanish La Liga club Valencia in a swap deal.

This is according to trusted Spanish newspaper AS which revealed that the transfer won’t be announced until the 1st of July.

Jasper Cillessen is expected to move to Barcelona in a swap deal with Neto of Valencia with the transfer sum set at $34m.

The 30-year-old Dutch international shot stopper was previously linked with a move to Premier League giants Manchester United as a possible replacement for wantaway goalkeeper David De Gea, but it seems the Spaniard will be staying at Old Trafford beyond this summer.

David De Gea has one year left on his current deal with the Red Devils but recent reports claimed that he’s close to agreeing on a long-term deal to stay at the Theatre of Dreams beyond this summer.

Jasper Cillessen was an Ajax Amsterdam goalkeeper before his move to Barcelona in 2016 as a replacement for Claudio Bravo who joined Premier League champions Manchester City shortly after Pep Guardiola took over at the Etihad Stadium.

During his time with the Blaugrana, Jasper Cillessen won two Spanish La Liga titles and two Spanish Copa Del Rey titles.

The Dutchman played second fiddle to Marc Andre Ter Stegen during his time at the Nou Camp.
