Europa League holders Chelsea are closing in on the appointment of a new manager following the exit of Maurizio Sarri.
Italian tactician Sarri left the club two weeks ago to take up the managerial job at Juventus.
Chelsea have been given permission to speak to former club midfielder Frank Lampard by Derby County and reports claimed that the Rams manager will replace Sarri at Stamford Bridge.
Frank Lampard is the Derby County manager at the moment having been appointed to the position last summer.
The 41-year-old is expected to be named the new Chelsea manager in the coming days.
According to The Sun, Frank Lampard will earn £5.5m on a yearly basis as the Chelsea manager and that the ex-England international will put pen to paper on a three-year deal.

Frank Lampard will earn a total of £16.5m over the next three years as the new Chelsea boss.
He has been identified as the new Chelsea manager following his successful season with Derby County.
Lampard performed well beyond expectations at Derby County in just one season.
He led the Rams to the Championship playoffs before his team lost to Aston Villa in the final.
Aston Villa won 2-1 to secure promotion to the Premier League.
