Chelsea manager, Maurizio Sarri has been praised by many as having changed the London club but there is still something he has not gotten rightly.
The former Napoli boss has yet to find a suitable captain for his side with about seven weeks into the season.
Having initially handed the armband to Gary Cahill, there are indications that he will take it back because the player has not performed to earn the title.
Chelsea manager Sarri said he will finally make a decision next week.
Speaking ahead of Thursday’s Europa League against MOL Vidi, the Italian boss admits the captain position remains the only confusion he has at the moment but hints that it would be resolved by next week.
He added that he would be having a meeting with the club hierarchy to discuss his decision with them.
Chelsea are in great form this season as they are said to have transformed under the new manager who arrived at the summer.
The Blues are so far unbeaten in the current season and sitting 3rd on the league table behind Manchester City and Liverpool.
A decision for who wears the armband will go a long way in affecting the team’s performance.
