North London giants Arsenal will reportedly make an improved bid for Celtic defender Kieran Tierney as they try to swoop for him this summer.

According to the Daily Mail, the Gunners will make an improved bid of £19m for the Scottish national team left-back.

Kieran Tierney can also play as a central defender thus making him a versatile defender.

The 22-year-old was the subject of two failed bids from Arsenal who were repelled by the Scottish champions.

Arsenal made a first offer of £15m before a second bid of £18m.

Both offers were rejected by Celtic with the Scottish Premiership giants holding out for at least £25m to sanction the sale of the player to an Arsenal team in need of reinforcements on the defensive front.

It’s believed that Arsenal manager Unai Emery is keen to strengthen his squad with a new left-back, a new right-back and at least one centre back.

Arsenal conceded 70 goals in all competitions during the just concluded season including a whopping 51 goals conceded in just 38 games in the Premier League.

Kieran Tierney came through the ranks at his boyhood club Celtic before making his first team debut for the Scottish champions.

He was a key member of the Celtic squad that won the domestic treble in three successive seasons.
