Paris Saint Germain (PSG) forward Neymar has reportedly reached a salary agreement with Spanish champions Barcelona as he edges closer to a sensational return to the Nou Camp.

According to popular Spanish news outlet Sport, Neymar has agreed on a five-year deal with Barcelona thus taking him to the age of 32 at the club.

It was revealed that the long-term Chelsea and Manchester United transfer target will earn around €24m on a yearly basis.

The salary agreement with Barcelona represents a big pay cut from his current salary of €36.8m at PSG.

Brazilian national team star Neymar has already told his former Barcelona teammates that he’s coming back to the club after two years in France.

The 27-year-old signed for PSG in the summer of 2017 after the French champions activated the €222m release clause in his then contract with Barcelona.

The transfer from Barcelona to PSG made him the most expensive player in world football till date ahead of club teammate Kylian Mbappe.

Neymar has scored 51 goals in 58 games since he joined PSG but he has not been able to achieve his aim of winning the Champions League for the French Ligue 1 giants.

His other ambition of winning the Ballon d’Or has also not been realized at PSG.
