Chelsea Deadline For Mateo Kovacic Revealed

Europa League winners Chelsea have until the end of this month to decide whether or not to sign Real Madrid loanee Mateo Kovacic permanently after his loan spell at the club.

The timeline for the decision on the 52-cap Croatian international was revealed by popular Spanish newspaper AS.

It was revealed that Chelsea have until June 30 to make a decision on the Croatian World Cup star.

Mateo Kovacic was part of the Croatian squad that surprisingly reached the final of the 2018 FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia before they were beaten by eventual winners France via a 4-2 defeat.

Kovacic moved to Chelsea on loan shortly after the World Cup tournament as a part of the £35m deal that saw Belgian national team shot stopper Thibaut Courtois join Real Madrid.

He was linked with clubs like Manchester United, Manchester City and Juventus before he signed for Chelsea on a season-long loan deal.

The Croatian star was one of the regular names on the Chelsea team list under Maurizio Sarri but he was not a favourite of the fans due to his lack of end product.

He helped Chelsea win the Europa League title via a 4-1 win over Arsenal in the final of the competition in Baku in May.

Newly appointed Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho has approved the pursuit of Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale according to reports in the English media.

It was revealed that Mourinho has told Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy to pursue a move for Welsh international Bale.

It was revealed that Spurs would give Mourinho around £150m to spend on new players as he tries to stamp his imprint on the team inherited at the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Jose Mourinho was without a job in the dugout for almost a year before the appointment as Spurs’ boss.

He could be joined by Gareth Bale at the club with the Welshman facing an uncertain future at the Estadio Santiago Bernebeu Stadium.

Bale has less than three years on his Real Madrid contract and he came close to leaving the club during the summer.

He was closing in on a free transfer move to Chinese Super League (CSL) outfit Jiangsu Suning before Real Madrid president Florentino Perez called the deal off.

Long-term Manchester United target Gareth Bale would have earned £1m weekly in China which is a significant increase in his salary of £600,000 at Real Madrid.

He joined Real Madrid from Spurs in a then world-record transfer worth £85.3m some six years ago.

According to Italian media publication Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter Milan want to sign Olivier Giroud when the winter transfer market reopens in a few weeks’ time.

Giroud is targeting a new club to stay in contention for selection with the France squad ahead of the upcoming Euro 2020 billed for next summer.

The French World Cup winner had also been mentioned alongside Ligue 1 clubs via transfer rumours.

Marseille, Lyon and many more have been linked with a swoop for the former Arsenal striker.

Olivier Giroud has scored one goal for Chelsea this season and it came during the UEFA Super Cup clash with Liverpool in want was the Blues’ second game of this campaign.

The Frenchman joined Chelsea from London rivals Arsenal in January 2018 in a deal reported to be around £18m.

He has less than a year on his present Chelsea contract.

Jose Mourinho won three Premier League titles with Chelsea, and is one of only three managers to have won the UEFA Champions League twice with two clubs, but we strongly disagree if signing Jose Mourinho was at the best interest of the club after failing to win the Premier League title with Manchester United.
