Three-time European champions Manchester United have been boosted by a big news in their chase of Italian Serie A star Ivan Perisic just few weeks before the start of the winter transfer market.
Ivan Perisic is on the payroll of Italian Serie A giants Inter Milan at the moment.
Italian media outlet Tuttosport claim that the Croatian international forward is available for a transfer in the New Year.
It was revealed that the Nerazzuri are ready to sell the player though their €50m asking price could be a stumbling block to any possible deal.
Ivan Perisic has been a long-term transfer target for the Red Devils dating back to the summer of 2017.
He recently helped the Croatian national team reach the final of this summer’s FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia before they were beaten 4-2 by eventual winners France.
Perisic was on target for Croatia in that final clash with the French team in Moscow in July.
He has not been able to replicate the same form for Inter Milan this season and that culminated in manager Luciano Spalletti’s decision to drop him for the weekend’s victory over Udinese.
Ivan Perisic has scored just two goals and provided two assists in 20 appearances in all competitions this season.
