Premier League giants Manchester United have reportedly agreed to a deal to sign Spanish wonderkid Mateo Mejia who plays his club football for second-tier club Real Zaragoza in Spain.

According to BBC Sport, Manchester United have agreed to an initial fee of £600,000 for the young Spanish winger ahead of a move to Old Trafford this summer.

The 16-year-old could be the second signing at Manchester United this summer after Daniel James.

Manchester United secured their first signing of the season earlier this month after they signed Welsh international star Daniel James from English Championship outfit Swansea City.

They were said to have agreed to an initial fee of £15m plus £3m in add-ons for the 21-year-old.

Daniel James is expected to resume for the start of the preseason at Manchester United on July 1 before jetting out with his new teammates one week later.

Manchester United fans would be hoping they can get more signings on board by the time preseason starts in the next one week with the club closing in on the signings of Crystal Palace defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes.

The Red Devils have already agreed to a £55m deal for Aaron Wan-Bissaka including £12.5m in add-ons with the player scheduled to undergo his medical in the coming days.

Manchester United have also agreed to pay £62m for Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes according to latest reports.

The Red Devils manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has also told the club hierarchy to speed up the deal for Bruno Fernandes who scored 32 goals in all competitions for his Portuguese club last season.
