Premier League giants Liverpool are reportedly keen to sign Celta Vigo striker Maxi Gomez during this transfer window.
According to Football Facts, the newly crowned champions of Europa are ready to meet the €43m release clause in his contract with Celta Vigo.
It was revealed that the Reds want to boost their forward options by signing the 22-year-old striker.
Uruguayan international Maxi Gomez was in superb form for Celta Vigo during the just concluded season and his form has attracted the interest of the best teams on the European football scene including Spanish La Liga champions Barcelona and Liverpool.

At Barcelona, Maxi Gomez was seen as a direct replacement for compatriot and aging striker Luis Suarez though the Catalan giants have since moved to other forward targets like French World Cup winner Antoine Griezmann of Atletico Madrid FC of Spain and Paris Saint Germain (PSG) star Neymar.
Maxi Gomez could be a replacement for Daniel Sturridge at Liverpool after the England international was released earlier this summer.
The young Uruguayan striker has a bright future ahead of him and he could replace Daniel Sturridge who ended his six-and-a-half-year stay at Anfield shortly after he helped Liverpool win the Champions League final.
The Ex-Chelsea and Manchester City player was an unused substitute during that Champions League final.
