Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen has reportedly given up on his dream move to Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid.

This is according to the report from the Daily Mirror which claimed that the Danish international player believes that his dream move to Real Madrid might not come to fruition.

It was also revealed that the player has set his sights on a summer move to either Italian Serie A giants Juventus or Premier League giants Manchester United in the absence of a dream move to 13-time European champions Real Madrid.

Real Madrid are the most successful team in Europe’s premier club competition with 13 titles after they won three successive Champions League titles between 2016 and 2018.

A Real Madrid transfer represents a dream move for Christian Eriksen who has already told his North London club that he wants to leave this summer.

Eriksen has one year left on his current deal at Tottenham Hotspur.

Real Madrid’s proposed move for Christian Eriksen was complicated by the financial demands from Tottenham Hotspur for the €100m-rated player and the Los Merengues’ preference for Manchester United star Paul Pogba in their search for a new midfielder.

Christian Eriksen has always maintained that he will see out the final year of his contract if Tottenham Hotspur are unable to negotiate a transfer for him.
