North London giants Arsenal are reportedly holding out for around £45m for midfielder Lucas Torreira who has publicly spoken about his struggles with life in the United Kingdom since his move to North London last summer.
According to the publication from the stables of the Daily Mail, the Gunners want more money than the £35m offer from Italian Serie A giants AC Milan who are keen to sign the combative midfielder.
AC Milan have appointed Marco Giampaolo as their new manager after he impressed as the Sampdoria boss.
He has previously worked with Lucas Torreira at Sampdoria before his move to Arsenal last year and the Italian tactician wants to reunite with his former player.

Lucas Torreira became an Arsenal player at the start of the just concluded season when the Gunners paid £26m for him in three installments.
The 23-year-old played 50 times for Arsenal in all competitions last season including the Europa League final which the Gunners lost 4-1 to Chelsea.
Lucas Torreira is presently on international duty with the Uruguayan national team at this year’s COPA America tournament in Brazil.
His future as an Arsenal midfielder has been questioned after his recent interview about his time in London since moving from Italy last summer.
