Spanish La Liga giants Atletico Madrid are the latest team to be linked with a move for Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka this summer.
The Gunners’ player had earlier been linked with a move to Italian Serie A side Inter Milan with reports claiming that the Nerazzurri want to sign him for £55m.
The latest transfer interest from Atletico Madrid in the Swiss international player was revealed by Spanish media platform Mundo Deportivo.
It was revealed that the Rojiblancos are targeting Xhaka as the replacement for Rodri whose closing in on a move to Premier League champions Manchester City.
The English champions have agreed to pay the €70m release clause in the Atletico Madrid contract of the aforementioned Rodri.

The Spanish midfielder is in talks with Manchester City over personal terms with the Citizens keen to sign him as a long-term replacement for the aging Fernandinho.
It was revealed that Real Madrid midfielder Diego Llorente is the first choice midfield target for Atletico Madrid as they search for the replacement for Manchester City-bound Rodri but they have been scared off by the €50m asking price from their city rivals.
Granit Xhaka has been at Arsenal since the summer of 2016 and he recently signed a new deal at the Emirates Stadium last summer.
