Premier League giants Manchester United have made a major breakthrough in their quest to retain the services of one of their best players.

Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea didn’t have the best of seasons in the last campaign but his reputation from the previous seasons still make him one of the best players at the Theatre of Dreams.

David De Gea has one year left on his current Manchester United contract and he has been attracting interest from major European sides like Italian giants Juventus and French champions Paris Saint Germain (PSG).

According to the publication from the Daily Mail, David De Gea is ready to sign a new contract at the club.

It was revealed that he would sign a new contract worth £350,000 on a weekly basis.

David De Gea had been holding out for 200% of his current weekly salary worth £240,000 to measure up with the Red Devils’ highest earner Alexis Sanchez.

Chilean international Alexis Sanchez is said to be on weekly wages of £500,000 from the contract signed when he became a Manchester United player in January 2018.

The Chilean national team star had spent 42 months at Arsenal whom he signed for from Spanish La Liga outfit Barcelona in 2014.
