Three-time European champions Manchester United are in the transfer market for a new quality centre back but the Red Devils have so far been frustrated in the bid to meet their target.
Leicester City Harry Maguire is a top defensive target for Manchester United alongside the likes of Kalidou Koulibaly and Issa Diop.
Kalidou Koulibaly plays his club football for Italian Serie A giants Napoli at the moment, while Issa Diop plays his club football for fellow Premier League club West Ham United.
Manchester United tried to sign Harry Maguire last summer shortly after the former Hull City and Sheffield United defender impressed for the Three Lions of England at the 2018 FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia.

The Red Devils were unable to sign him because of the £60m-70m asking price slapped on him.
Manchester United are back for him this summer but Leicester City have increased the asking price to £80m.
According to ESPN, Manchester United are still £40m short of the Leicester City valuation for Harry Maguire.
The England international has enjoyed a meteoric rise in English football since his move to Leicester City two years ago.
He joined the Foxes from relegated Hull City for a fee of around £17m, including add-ons, in the summer of 2017.
