English Premier League outfit Manchester United are reported to have approached Spanish La Liga outfit Barcelona for the signature of Ivan Rakitic in this summer transfer window

The Barcelona man has also been tipped to be a perfect replacement should France international Paul Pogba leave the club in this summer transfer window.
Also, Ander Herrera is on his way out after refusing to extend his contract with the club. Reports claim that he is heading to French Ligue 1 side PSG and will need to be replaced.

Sports report that the Red Devils have asked the Spanish champions to name their price for Ivan Rakitic and the Spanish club are open to selling the Croatia international.
It is now not clear if Ivan Rakitic will fancy a move to Old Trafford or not as Sport report that the decision on the deal lies on the World Cup runner up.
The Croatia international is also wanted by Italian Serie A outfit Inter Milan and other top European clubs but a deal is expected to fall through before the end of the transfer window.
