Matthijs de Ligt has been in the news for many weeks as he is being linked to a number of big teams in Europe after impressing in the just concluded season.
The likes of Man United, Liverpool, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain are all linked with the star player but no decision has been made until after his engagement with the national team.
An earlier report had hinted that Matthijs de Light would be joining the French Ligue 1 outfit as it is claimed that his parents are already in search of a house for him but former Premier League striker Darren Bent has suggested that there would be a surprise in the pursuit of the 19-year-old.
Darren Bent told the Daily Star that his former team are desperate and will go all out to surprise everyone to seal the deal in this summer window.
He noted that there is a bid by the club to get Matthijs de Light and Virgil Van Dijk play together as they would be a great duo for the team in their bid to push for the title.
However, Matthijs de Light seem to be skeptical about a move to England after hinting that it would be strange to him.
