Harry Maguire

English Premier League outfit Man United are in the race to sign Leicester City defender Harry Maguire and they are desperate to have that happen in this summer transfer window.

It is claimed that a bid was made by Man United and it was rejected by the former league champions which leaves them more frustrated than ever.

The Red Devils are keen to land new defenders at the club and Harry Maguire is one of the best legs they can find in the English Premier League.

However, United have been told that they will have to break the world-record transfer fee to land Harry Maguire which means that the fee must be more than the £75million Liverpool paid to Southampton for Virgil van Dijk.

The Red Devils have therefore been told that they are not alone in the race for the defender as the Premier League champions Man City are also keen on him.

Pep Guardiola’s side will now be without long-serving captain Vincent Kompany which makes a replacement important.

A source told Sky Sports News that the Foxes have valued the 26-year-old in the region of £80million and will not go down for him despite paying £17 million to land his signature from Hull City in 2017.
