Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak is frustrated with the mass exodus at the club this summer according to the publication from the stables of popular media channel ESPN.
It was revealed that the Atletico Madrid shot stopper wants to leave the club after the mass exodus this summer for fear that the Spanish capital club won’t be able to challenge for major honours next season.
Atletico players Antoine Griezmann, Lucas Hernandez, Diego Godin, Filipe Luis and Juanfran will all leave the club this summer.
According to ESPN, Jan Oblak is in favour of a move to the Premier League with Manchester United.
Earlier in the year, the Slovenian international goalkeeper signed a new contract at the new Wanda Metropolitano Stadium to take his release clause to the €120m mark.
In April, it was revealed via the ESPN that Manchester United are willing to activate the said release clause thereby signing Jan Oblak as a replacement for David De Gea who’s future at Manchester United is in serious doubt.
David De Gea has one year left on his current deal at Manchester United and he has been linked with a move to clubs like French champions Paris Saint Germain (PSG) who are also interested in Jan Oblak.
